The image database contains photos, illustrations and some objects from the collections of the NYU School of Medicine Archives, and relate to the topics of the School of Medicine, the NYU Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital and the Bellevue Hospital Medical College, among others. These images, many from the 19th century, are of individuals, groups, buildings, events and activities, such as an operation. The database is a work in progress, and files are regularly added.

To obtain a copy of an image
Please contact the Archives, and specify the ID number of the image, whether you’d like it digitally (on a CD) or in hard copy. If you prefer a print, please specify a standard size (i.e., 8x10). Fees for prints are subject to the current price schedule of the Digital Media Services office, plus $5 for postage and handling. The cost of an image on CD is $10 per image, plus $5 for postage and handling, which includes the cost of the CD.
Requests for CD’s can normally be handled within a day or two once payment is received. Prints may take longer, as they are subject to the work load of the Digital Media Services office.
