Portrait of Lyman Guy Barton, MD (1866–1944). Dr. Barton received his MD from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1891. An inscription on the back of the photograph reads: “Miss Bayne, this is Lyman Guy Barton, Bellevue Medical College, 1891, inventor of Barton Obstetrical Forceps, Barton Head tongs, etc. (v. Violet ‘44) & classmate of Wm Studdiford, Sr. - L. Gardner.”

He taught at New York University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology (1966-1969), Assistant Professor of Dermatology (1969-1971), and Associate Professor of Dermatology (1971-1994).
Portrait of Johan Almkvist, MD (1869-1945), inscribed to “Dr. Howard Fox from his friend Johan Almkvist, Stockholm d. 17/11/1930." Dr. Almkvist was a Swedish dermatologist known for his research on mercurial toxaemias and his method of treatment for syphilis. He served as Professor of Dermatology and Physician-in-Chief at St. Göran Hospital from 1913 to 1927, and as Professor of Dermatology and Syphilology at the Karolinska Institute from 1927 to 1934.
Portrait of Harry Bakwin, MD (1894-1973). Dr. Bakwin taught at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College, later New York University College of Medicine, as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (1930-1940), Associate Professor of Pediatrics (1940-1950), and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (1950-1974). Dr. Bakwin authored the widely regarded medical text, "Clinical Management of Behavior Disorders in Children," and coined the expression “tender loving care.”
