He became the Chair and Professor of Microbiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1972 and later held the position of Professor Emeritus of Immunology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Weschler served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology at New York University College of Medicine from 1941 to 1947 and Associate Clinical Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology from 1947 to 1955. He later served as Clinical Professor of Clinical Psychology (1955-1971), Professor of Psychology (1971-1975), and Professor Emeritus of Clinical Psychology (1975-1981) at the New York University School of Medicine.

Portrait of John Elmer Weeks, MD (1853-1949). Dr. Weeks taught at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College of New York University as a Lecturer and later Clinical Professor of Professor of Ophthalmology and Otology. He served as the head of the Department of Ophthalmology from 1901 to 1921.
