Sketch of the New York University School of Medicine building at East 26th Street in Manhattan by Dr. Clarence de la Chappelle. Originally built for the Bellevue Hospital Medical College, NYU acquired the property in 1898 when the two schools merged. Dr. De la Chapelle received his M.D. from University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1922. He joined the faculty of the medical school in 1925, where he remained for the duration of his career as a leading cardiologist.

Signed engraving of a portrait of John Revere, MD (1787-1847). The caption reads “Professor of the Theory and Practice of Physics in Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia.” Dr. Revere taught at University Medical College from 1841 to 1847 as Professor of Theory & Practice of Medicine.

Signed engraving of a photographic portrait of Gunning Samuel Bedford, MD (1806-1870). Dr. Bedford taught at University Medical College as Professor of Obstetrics and Diseases of Women from 1841 to 1864.
