Signed portrait of Henry Edmund Meleney, MD (1887-1970), inscribed, “To my loyal friend and colleague, Henry Most, Henry E. Meleney.” Dr. Meleney taught as the Hermann M. Biggs Professor of Medicine at New York University College of Medicine from 1941 to 1953.

Portrait of Robert Timmons McCluskey, MD. Dr. McCluskey received his MD from the New York University School of Medicine in 1947. He later became the Chief of the Department of Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Portrait of Carlos Frederick MacDonald, MD (1845-1926). Dr. MacDonald received his MD from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1869. He taught at Bellevue Hospital Medical College from 1889 to 1898 as Professor of Mental Diseases. He then taught at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College, first as Professor of Mental Diseases and Medical Jurisprudence (1898-1907) and then as Emeritus Professor (1907-1909).

Portrait of Jerome Kingsbury, MD (1871-1907), inscribed “To Howard Fox, with best wishes of Jerome Kingsbury.” Dr. Kingsbury received his MD from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1897.

Portrait of Solomon A. Berson, MD (1918-1972). Dr. Berson received his MD from New York University School of Medicine in 1945. With his research partner Rosalyn Yarow, he developed the radioimmunoassay. Berson also researched blood volume measurement with radioisotopes, kinetics of iodine metabolism, and thyroid function. In his honor, the New York University School of Medicine created the Solomon A. Berson Medical Alumni Achievement Awards in 1979.

Portrait of Michael Heidelberger, MD (1888-1991), in a lab coat, taken in January 1968. Dr. Heidelberger taught at the New York University School of Medicine as Adjunct Professor of Pathology from 1964 to 1991.

Portrait of Henry Honeyman Hazen, MD (1879-1951). Dr. Hazen was an important dermatologist who taught at Howard University Medical School from 1911 to 1944 and served in many public health roles within United States government.

Photograph of William D. Halliburton, MD, FRS (1860-1931) standing in a lecture hall. Dr. Halliburton held the position of Herter Lecturer on Pathological Chemistry at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College from 1903 to 1904.
