Portrait of Edward Robert Maloney, MD (1875-1942), in WWI officer’s uniform. The photograph is inscribed “with warmest regards to my chief in Dermatology,” referring to Dr. Howard Fox. Dr. Maloney taught as an associate professor of dermatology at the New York University College of Medicine and later served as professor emeritus.
Portrait of George Barclay Wallace, MD (1874-1948). Dr. Wallace served as Professor of Pharmacology and head of the Department of Pharmacology at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College of New York University.
Engraved portrait of Willard Parker, MD (1800-1884). Parker was one of the founders of the New York Academy of Medicine and became president of the Academy in 1856. He taught as Professor of Surgery at the New York College of Physicians and Surgeons for more than thirty years, beginning in 1839.
Portrait of Milton Irwin Roemer, MD (1916-2001). Dr. Roemer received his MD from the New York University College of Medicine in 1940. He later became Professor of Public Health at the UCLA School of Public Health. In 1980, he received the Alumni Achievement Award from the NYU School of Medicine.
