Photograph of a bust of Walter Reed, MD (1851-1902), located at the Hall of Fame for Great Americans on the campus of Bronx Community College. Dr. Reed received his first MD from the University of Virginia and 1869 and his second from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1873. His important work includes his research on the transmission of yellow fever during his time as a physician in the U.S. Army.

Beverley Robinson

Dr. Robinson taught at Bellevue Hospital Medical College as a clinical lecturer on Heart, Lungs, and Throat (1877-1882) and a Clinical Professor of Medicine (1882 to 1898). In 1989 he became Clinical Professor of Medicine at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College.

Portrait of Austin Flint, III, MD (1868-1955). Dr. Flint received his MD from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1889. He taught at Bellevue Hospital Medical College as Assistant to the Chair of Physiology (1889-1892), Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics (1893-1895), Professor of Obstetrics (1895-1897), and Professor of Obstetrics and Clinical Midwifery (1897-1898). Dr. Flint then taught at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College as Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology (1898-1924), Professor of Obstetrics (1924-1933), and Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics (1933-1955).

Cabinet card of Reginald Hall Sayre, MD (1859-1929). Dr. Sayre received his MD from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1884. The son of Dr. Lewis A. Sayre, he also became an orthopedic surgeon and taught at Bellevue Hospital Medical College from 1899 to 1929. He succeeded his father as head of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
