New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital - Innocenti Ward, Babies' Wards
Image
Three nurses are shown with several children (some African-American) in Innocenti Ward. One child is shown in a crib with a sign above it reading "Ruhe Sanft 1894." This was an "endowed" bed, likely from the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Babies Wards. This photograph appears in the Annual Report for the New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital(1905, opposite page p.64), with the caption "Luncheon Hour in the Innocenti Ward (Babies' Wards)."
