Guisela Alvarez, RN: "As the first nurse in my family, my pinning ceremony was a very special time for my family. My nursing pin has the school motto " mihi cura futuri" which translates to the 'care of the future is mine'. This resonates with me as a nurse and as an educator, taking care to teach the future nurses! I have been a proud nurse for 36 years, currently I am an educator and finishing my DNP so I may continue my promise to care for the future of our profession." Alvarez is a Nurse Educator at NYU Langone Health.
