Harry Bakwin

Photograph of Harry Bakwin, MD (1894-1973). Dr. Bakwin taught at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College, later New York University College of Medicine, as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (1930-1940), Associate Professor of Pediatrics (1940-1950), and Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (1950-1974). Dr. Bakwin authored the widely regarded medical text, "Clinical Management of Behavior Disorders in Children," and coined the expression “tender loving care.”
