Seated portrait of Lewis Thomas, MD (1913-1993). Dr. Thomas served as the Dean of the New York University School of Medicine from 1966 to 1969.

Portrait of Marion Baldur Sulzberger, MD (1895-1984). Dr. Sulzberger became director of the New York Skin and Cancer Unit in 1947. From 1949 to 1960, he served as Professor of Dermatology and chairman of the Department of Dermatology at New York University Medical School. Dr. Sulzberger was named professor emeritus in 1960.

Engraved portrait of Willard Parker, MD (1800-1884). Parker was one of the founders of the New York Academy of Medicine and became president of the Academy in 1856. He taught as Professor of Surgery at the New York College of Physicians and Surgeons for more than thirty years, beginning in 1839.

Portrait of Milton Irwin Roemer, MD (1916-2001). Dr. Roemer received his MD from the New York University College of Medicine in 1940. He later became Professor of Public Health at the UCLA School of Public Health. In 1980, he received the Alumni Achievement Award from the NYU School of Medicine.

Signed portrait of Henry Granger Piffard, MD (1842-1910) taken in February 1905. Dr. Piffard taught at University Medical College as a Lecturer of Urinary Analysis (1873-1875) and Professor of Dermatology (1875-1898). He then became Professor of Dermatology at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College as Professor of Dermatology from 1898 to 1899, and Emeritus Professor in 1899.

Portrait of Frank H. Netter, MD (1906-1991). Dr. Netter received his MD from University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1931. He was the foremost medical illustrator of the twentieth century. His works include the Atlas of Human Anatomy and The CIBA Collection of Medical Illustrations.

Portrait of Osgoode Sinclair Philpott, MD (1895-1898). Dr. Philpott was a clinical professor at the University of Colorado Medical School and was head of dermatology from 1945 to 1965. He co-founded the Belle Bonfils Memorial Blood Bank in Denver, Colorado..
