Mortimer Gilbert Rosen

Portrait of Mortimer Gilbert Rosen, MD (1932-1992). Dr. Rosen received his MD from New York University School of Medicine in 1955. He taught as Professor of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, and in 1985 joined the faculty of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as the Willard C. Rappleye Professor and chairman of obstetrics and gynecology. He was also director of Sloane Hospital for Women, the obstetrics and gynecology service of the Presbyterian Hospital.

Sol Sherry

Photograph of Sol Sherry (1916-1993). Dr. Sherry received his MD from New York University College of Medicine in 1939. He later became professor and co-head of the Department of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine.

Signed portrait of George B. Sexton, MD, wearing academic dress. The inscription reads, “To Dr. Howard Fox, ‘A Real Friend.’ With appreciation, G. B. Sexton.” Dr. Sexton was a Canadian dermatologist.

John Henry Rowland

Portrait of John Henry Rowland, MD. Dr. Rowland received his MD from University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1919. In the late 1940s, he was the vice-chairman of a New Jersey alumni fundraising campaign for the NYU-Bellevue Medical Center.

Edwin Ashley Salmon

Portrait of Edwin Ashley Salmon (1902-1965). Salmon served as the first Director of the NYU-Bellevue Medical Center from 1947 to 1953. He was chairman of the New York City Planning Commission at the time of his appointment, as well as chairman of the Hospital Council of Greater New York.
