Donal Sheehan

Dr. Sheehan taught at New York University Medical College from 1937 until his death, apart from a 1947-1948 term as general director of the Commonwealth Fund. He served as acting dean of the medical school for three years during World War II, as chairman of the Scientific Committee of the NYU-Bellevue Medical Center, and as director of the Medical Center from 1953-1955.

Signed portrait of James Francis McKernon, MD. Dr. McKernon taught in the department of surgery at the New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital. He served on the school’s board of directors for many years, including terms as board president in 1912, 1914, 1920, and 1928. Dr. McKernon also served as President of the New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital from 1920 to 1929.
