Portrait of David Bloom, MD. Dr. Bloom taught at New York Post-Graduate Medical School as an Instructor in Dermatology and Syphilology from 1928 to 1938. He then taught in the Department of Dermatology and Syphilology at the New York University College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor (1948-1950), Associate Professor (1950-1957), and Professor (1957-1961).

He became Professor of Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery at the Medical College and Commissioner of Health of both New York City and State. President Grover Cleveland was operated on by him for sarcoma of the left upper jaw.

Dr. Leo Buerger, famed for his work on the disease named after him. He was also remarkably gifted in pathology and bacteriology, and became as great a urologist as anybody in the world. <p>Dr. Buerger's work on thrombo-angitis obliterans led to the development of the whole subject of peripheral vascular disease in the world. Head and shoulders photograph of Dr. Frank A. Calderone, Director of the Interim Commission of the World Health Organization, Class of 1924. Article on back of photograph indicates that this photo was taken shortly after Dr. Calderone was appointed to the WHO.
