Photograph of a painted portrait of Frederick Clark Holden, MD, dressed in regalia. Dr. Holden received his MD from University Medical College in 1892. He taught at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College as Professor of Gynecology (1919-1932), Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Administrative Department Chair (1932-1934), and Professor Emeritus Obstetrics and Gynecology (1934-1944).

The portrait hangs on the west wall of the balcony over the Medical Library. This portrait is the second from left, between Dr. Wyckoff (right) and Dr. Wright (left). The portrait is signed in the lower right, which does not show up in these prints, "Geo. R. Buynton" This is a black and white photo of a color painting. (Two copy prints; two 5x7 copy negatives).
