Signed portrait of Vicente Pardo-Castelló, MD (1892-1967), inscribed, “To Dr. Howard Fox, with kindest regards from his friend and pupil, V. Pardo-Castelló, Havana, May 31, 1930.” Dr. Pardo-Castelló was a Cuban dermatologist and Professor of Dermatology at the University of Havana Medical School, specializing in the study of leprosy and diseases of the nails.
