Portrait of Matthew D. Scharff, MD. Dr. Scharff received his MD from New York University School of Medicine in 1959. Dr. Scharff taught at Albert Einstein College of Medicine as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Cell Biology, Director of the Division of Biological Sciences, and Assistant Director of the Cancer Center. He developed a new approach to the exploration of the structure and function of immunoglobins.

Dr. Robinson taught at Bellevue Hopsital Medical College as a clinical lecturer on Heart, Lungs, and Throat (1877-1882) and a Clinical Professor of Medicine (1882 to 1898). In 1989 he became Clinical Professor of Medicine at University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College.
Portrait of Edwin Ashley Salmon. Salmon served as the first Director of the NYU-Bellevue Medical Center from 1947-1953. He was chairman of the NY City Planning Commission at the time of his appointment, as well as chairman of the Hospital Council of Greater New York.
