Eugene Braunwald

He later became Chief of the Cardiology Branch of the National Heart Institute. At the time of this portrait, he was serving as Hersey Professor and Chairman, Department of Medicine, Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Braunwald made important contributions in the fields of cardiovascular hemodynamics and diagnostic techniques, clinical cardiology, and internal medicine.
