This photograph was also used in the NYU Handbook (001.A6, 1967-1968, p.2), by the Dept. of Public Relations of NYU Medical Center.

This was an "endowed" bed, likely from the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Babies Wards. This photograph appears in the Annual Report for the New York Post-Graduate Medical School and Hospital(1905, opposite page p.64), with the caption "Luncheon Hour in the Innocenti Ward (Babies' Wards)."
